[ she pauses, and then—without saying anything, pulls back and with a slightly abashed dip of her head, tugs them gently along with her down the hallway to the individual rooms.

her room is not particularly tidy due to the fact that there are little piles of books and writing paper on almost every hard non-floor surface and she’s clearly been putting off laundry, but it almost looks like she barely uses the bed at all. ]

2. being embarrassed about the state of her laundry
